There is no doubt that school can be frustrating and stressful at times, however in the end it is all completely worthwhile. This blog will discuss the importance of trying your best in your schooling years and how all your knowledge is vital for a bright future.
During our schooling years, we learn various topics in a range of subjects. So that we can have a purpose to strive for in the hard times, it is essential to realise that all our learning will be much needed in the future. As we grow older, our curriculum reaches higher levels and we start to learn specific subjects in depth. Early stages of learning act as the foundation for this higher level learning, and if there are gaps in your foundation, later levels of learning become much more stressful than they need to be. For example, in maths, without a good grasp of solving algebraic equations in year 7, solving quadratic equations in year 10 is impossible.
Further, our favourite subjects as children are what encourage us to go into a certain profession in the future. Thus, if the initial building blocks are missing for particular subjects we may give up on them and never reach the stage where we find something within them that we enjoy. This is another reason why students should be putting all their effort into their classwork, as it will lead them to fulfil something in their future that they are passionate about. Having a good education also leads to more career choice in general. Rather than choosing out of entry-level jobs with low stability, low pay and high stress, there would also be choices available to you which require higher-levels of education. Even if your passion is art or music, it will be worthwhile to do the hard work in your early years, so that you are able to spend the rest of your life enjoying the job you desire.
In addition, in Australia we are incredibly lucky to have free education available to us. In Somalia only 10% of children attend primary education. Here, we have access to all the knowledge we could hope for and we have the potential to follow any career that we set our minds to. So many people have died to give us that opportunity. It is only logical that we make the most of what we have been given. Through this education we are able to make more informed choices in our lives, communicate and record ourselves more effectively, invent, explore, imagine. It is an endless gift, why shouldn’t we make the most of it?
There is an old adage, ‘you reap what you sow’. Therefore it is best to work hard in areas where you know it will reap benefits, because it will always pay off for you. So begin your educational journey with K12 Academy that builds potential to follow any career!
